At Great Jersey Music, LLC, we are about leaving the world a better place.  This is a journey, not a single event.  If you are looking for a way to contribute to our community, check out one of these local causes.  They are all worthy of our contribution and filled with people who are working to make a difference in the lives of those they serve. 

Mary's Place by the Sea was created to give women with cancer a place to rest and revive during and after treatment.  Our staff will care for their needs as they work through the rigors of their treatment. Guests may stay a few hours or a few days, if needed. 


Additionally, we provide Reiki, guided meditation, yoga and spa services.  We are a center that focuses on the individual getting well and gaining strength to win the battle with cancer. 




Hi Everyone,

As most of you know, I have been involved with The Valerie Fund for many years.  For those who are unfamiliar with The Valerie Fund, it is a non-profit organization for children with cancer and blood disorders.  I, along with my family and friends, have been involved in various events and fundraisers to support the VF for many years. 


This past summer, I volunteered at a week-long summer camp for the VF children, which had suc h an incredible impact on my life.  I have always loved working with children, but there was something about these children in particular that really touched me.  After being with the kids for just one day, I honestly forgot that they had cancer.  They were all normal children trying to live normal lives to the fullest.  Even though they have been through one of life's toughest battles (most of them before they were teenagers), they have proven to be the bravest and strongest people I have ever met. Their spirit and positive outlooks on life inspired me to become even more active in the future.  It was one of the best weeks of my life and I cannot wait for the opportunity to go back again!


I would like to tell you about my next Valerie Fund event.  I am the captain of a Walkathon team for a fundraiser that is taking place on Saturday, June 13th at Verona Park in Verona, < /span>NJ.  The Annual Walkathon/5K Run is a fundraiser=2 0that is fun, invigorating, and important.  The Valerie Fund's goal is to raise $100,000 for its centers in various hospitals in NJ and NY.  With a few weeks to go, we have already raised over $80,000! The Valerie Fund Centers provide experienced healthcare professionals for the treatment of children, as well as social workers, therapists, workshops for the patients family and siblings, support groups and school re-entry programs.  


I have organized a team called "KICKIN' IT FOR THE KIDS". Our team goal is to raise $5,000 by the time of the event.  We are well on our way to our goal right now and hope that informing all of you about our purpose will help us raise even more money before June 13th.  We’d also love to add more runners, walkers, and donators to our team roster!  Please visit this website in order to do so:


The website is easy to navigate.  You can register to walk, register to run, or donate to a team.  If you would like to do any of the above, make sure w hen the link appears for "team", you click "Join an Existing Team" and select "Kickin It For The Kids".  If you have any questions or concerns, my contact information is at the bottom of this email.  If you are not able to walk or run, any donation would be extremely helpful and appreciated.  We know that times are extremely tough right now, but any amount would be helpful.  The change in your purse, wallet, car, etc. will make a huge difference.  If you cannot participate at this time, I encourage you to please check out the Valerie Fund website.  You will become more educated about this wonderful cause and it would really mean a lot to the children (and to me!)

The mission of the FISH Hospitality Program (FHP) is to serve homeless women and families by providing shelter and meals, and such other assistance as we are able, in order to give them a new opportunity to live independently in their communities as respected families and individuals. FHP does assist and enable our guests to obtain housing, jobs, medical services, and other assistance to which they are entitled, as far as resources allow. FHP serves people in need without regard to race, religion, national origin, or disability.

FISH Inc. was founded in the early 70's as an emergency service organization serving Middlesex County and Plainfield.  FISH is a volunteer organization that provides food, clothing, and other necessities for those less fortumate in our community.

The FoodBank serves over 270 pantries, soup kitchens and other feeding programs with over 4 million pounds of food annually. The FoodBank also operates a Culinary Training Program for people in need of better-paid jobs, a Kids Café and Backpack program for children, a Mobile Pantry, and Food Stamp Outreach Program. With the help of roughly 1,000 volunteers each year, the FoodBank’s programs are truly a community effort, working to eliminate hunger by providing emergency food, skills training, outreach programs and advocacy for families in need.



Quick Facts about the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey

  • Our Chapter jurisdiction covers a population of 1.3 million people in New Jersey, covering Hunterdon County, Mercer County, Middlesex County and parts of Somerset County.

  • Last year the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey helped 954 individuals recover from local fires and floods.
  • We trained 51,296 individuals in lifesaving skills from First Aid, CPR, AED and Babysitter training to swimming and lifeguarding.
  • The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey has supplied our area with 13,466 units of safe blood last year.
  • Our home-delivered meals programs help the elderly maintain independent life styles. 45,267 meals were delivered to 212 homebound clients.
  • The Chapter has 1,165 Youth Club members in our local High Schools. These young men and women are an important foundation for taking the Red Cross into the future.
  • The chapter has 25 employees and over 2,200 volunteers.


Project USE works with over 10,000 young people and adults from all over New Jersey and the northeast. We provide experiential education programs to public and private schools, state and municipal agencies, community groups and corporations. Our offerings emphasize developing character, building community, enhancing curriculum, and connecting with the natural world. We use a variety of methods to achieve outstanding results including single- and multi-day outdoor adventures, a residential community home, high and low challenge courses, after-school academic programs, and consulting services.
