Vocals and Percussion
Hailing from the New Jersey shore, classically trained opera singer Leyna Elise studied vocal music throughout college. As a Soprano, her voice type colours the band's performances with uplifting harmonies and compliments Reilly's broad vocal range. Leyna's musical influences are drawn from a very wide variety of genres, including: rock, soul, blues and jazz.
Drums and Percussion
Christopher Russo's fifteen years of energetic and dynamic drum performances, both live and in the studio, have helped him develop his own expressive approach to the traditional drum set. With influences ranging from down tempo trip hop, traditional Indian tabla music, jazz, funk, and experimental avant-garde rock; the Middletown, New Jersey native is clearly an eclectic, musical chameleon. He has studied with some of the most prominent and influential teachers around, including the world renowned Dom Famularo. Russo, a drum instructor himself, maintains the thumping heart-beat of the band.
Matthew Morris has been showcasing his talents on both guitar and bass for several years with a career that has explored many various genres. His smooth and funky baselines are a direct result of his musical influences rooted in funk, jazz and R&B. With an organic feel all his own, Morris’ unique tight-pocketed grooves and punchy bass lines help complete the core rhythm section of the band.
