GreatJerseyMusic.com was formed by Richard Hoynes to help musicians promote themselves and to provide music lovers with a place to go to find great music. The realization of the mission is rapidly evolving and expanding with demand. We get over 3,000 visits per month.
Richard is the son of a social worker and ex-catholic priest. He grew up in Jersey in a family devoted to social reform and helping the world. His parents were founding members of a non-profit, called FISH Inc. in Dunellen, NJ, to help address hunger in our community. FISH started in 1971 and is still running today. Anita Hoynes ran the food program for 20 years until her death in 1991. Andrew Hoynes was the first president of FISH. Andrew died of cancer on Holloween of 1986. In addition to providing food, FISH evolved to provide clothing, blankets to the elderly, toys for poor children at Christmas, furniture, and in 1990, Anita and Norma Elliott formed the FISH Hospitality Program, a homeless program serving Middlesex County and Plainfield, NJ. Their memory lives on in the work they started.
As an Information Technology executuve, Rich was the former Chief Information Officer with Pfizer Consumer Healthcare before the sale of the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare business to Johnson & Johnson. Rich was also the Chief Technology Officer for Tyco International in Princeton, NJ. Prior to these roles, he was the CIO for Warner-Lambert Consumer Healthcare and held various senior IT leadership roles with IBM Corporation, Anchor Savings Bank, and National Westminster Bank, NA.
Richard is also the founder and president of AMA Ventures, LLC, a real estate investment and development company and the CEO of AMA Charitable Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization devoted to fundraising for other non-profit charities. Richard serves on the board of directors of the American Red Cross of Central Jersey, and the board of Directors for the FISH Hospitality Program (homeless shelter) in Piscataway, NJ. Rich also provides free technology advice to the Somerset Hills Learning Institute, a school for autism treatment in Bedminster NJ.
